Mother’s Bistro owner named Oregon Small Business Person of the Year

PORTLAND, Ore. (KATU) — This week marks the 59th National Small Business Week, a week to honor the millions of small businesses nationwide.

On Wednesday, Lisa Schroeder, the owner and executive chef of Mother’s Bistro & Bar, received the 2023 Oregon Small Business Person of the Year award from the Small Business Administration.

Whether it’s a crystal plaque or even just a smile on someone’s face, we can all make a difference. Every small business can make a difference,” Schroeder said.
