Find out where to eat lunch in the Pearl and Southwest
by Eater Staff / Updated Jul 12, 2017
Whether you live in, work near, or are just visiting downtown Portland, you’re at some point bound to get hungry, and possibly hangry. To help you decide where to eat your next lunch downtown, here are some standout spots to try.
This map includes a variety of dining styles and price points. Preference was given to restaurants that offer fast service, but for those seeking to linger over drinks (or rounds of pool), dining destinations are also featured. Know a killer place for lunch that isn’t below? Share it in the comments to get it on the list, and make sure to explain why it deserves a spot.
(Note: The points on this map guide are not ranked; rather, they’re organized geographically.)

Mother’s Bistro & Bar
Lisa Schroeder’s enormous downtown restaurant is popular with visitors, but locals across the city love it, too. The classic, comforting, mom-and-grandma-approved lunch eats range from handmade pierogi, Cobb salads, and Reubens, to chopped liver sandos and a pair of mac and cheeses, one of which changes daily.
