….Meanwhile, Mother’s (212 Southwest Stark St., 503-464-1122) turned out to be a much-needed stop for brunch as we made our way around the city, an excursion that included Lan Su and Powell’s. In addition to the usual eggs and bacon, this always-bustling house-like haven makes Greek frittatas and wild salmon hash, and will do just about anything with tofu instead of eggs, and the tofu hash can be made vegan. All good. Great, friendly staff. Expect to wait.
